Where does it run by default?
The extension runs automatically on YouTube standard watch pages, normal Vimeo pages, and standard Vimeo embeds. Other standard HTML5 sites stay outside the default scope until they are tested and added to the allowlist.
Does it upload captions or viewing history?
No. Video timing, playback state, caption cues, and limited YouTube channel identifiers are processed on your device and are not sent to the developer.
Why does it need access to websites?
The timer has to run beside the video you are watching. Its content script reads only the video and caption information needed to calculate the timer and apply your settings.
What if captions are unavailable?
The base timer still works. Caption-aware controls require standard timed text tracks and may be unavailable when a player does not expose them.
